Who We Are

The Round Rock Area Serving Center is a nonprofit social services agency and food pantry that serves the Round Rock, Hutto, and Wells Branch areas. The Serving Center has been providing assistance since 1986. In addition to the food pantry and Round Rock Coats for Kids, financial assistance is also provided for rent, utilities, transportation, temporary lodging, and prescriptions. The agency is staffed by 200 volunteers, pays an Executive Director, and is supported by local churches, civic groups, businesses, the United Way of Williamson County, and the community of Round Rock.

In 2007, a total of 40,429 people were assisted at the Serving Center. In 2007, the Serving Center experienced a 22% increased in its programs for under-privileged, low-income people and families-in-crisis. The food pantry filled a total of 12,063 food vouchers, and 3,412 households were served from Fresh Food for Families. A total of $263, 167 was spent on client services, and $185, 772 was given in clothing and furniture vouchers.

come and lend a hand!

Volunteerism at the Serving Center offers a variety of tasks: Receptionists, Interviewers, Pantry Volunteers, Cashiers, Merchandise Sorters & Pricers Volunteers are also needed to sort food donations, pick up food donations, restock food pantry shelves, drive trucks, unload trucks, and provide computer counseling.
