Who We Are

The Round Rock Area Serving Center, a Texas non-profit corporation, also known as the Serving Center, carries out a community-wide mission of churches, other organizations and individuals serving human needs in the City of Round Rock and surrounding areas.

Services provided include a food pantry, Round Rock Coats for Kids, clothing & furniture vouchers, Computers for Kids, community gardens, The Volunteer Center, computer skills training, and financial assistance for utilities, rent, prescriptions, transportation, and temporary lodging. The Round Rock Community Clinic is located at the Serving Center .

“Treasures” is a clothing and furniture thrift store that is open to the public. Revenue from sales supports the food pantry and social service programs. Donations of clothing, books, furniture, and appliances are needed! For furniture pick up, call 244-2431.

The Serving Center has a membership of twenty-seven churches and seven businesses:

In 2008, a total of 44,605 people were assisted at the Serving Center, experiencing a 45% increase in the number of households with under-privileged, low-income people, and families-in-crisis. The food pantry filled a total of 11,214 food vouchers, and 3,839 households were served from Fresh Food for Families . A total of $463,453 was spent on client services, and $211,745 was given in clothing and furniture vouchers.

The Serving Center is

primarily staffed by volunteers,

come and lend a hand!

Volunteerism at the Serving Center offers a variety of tasks: Receptionists, Interviewers, Pantry Volunteers, Cashiers, Merchandise Sorters & Pricers. Volunteers are also needed to sort food donations, pick up food donations, tend gardens, restock food pantry shelves, drive the truck, pick up furniture, unload trucks, and data entry.
